I can't tell you how many times I've heard, "you can do anything for a minute- for 60 seconds." It's usually when I'm doing something unpleasant like sprinting or holding a yoga pose that I reeeally don't want to hold. But it's true, we can do most anything for a minute, good and bad... or unpleasant, rather.
I've been commuting to work on my bike at least once a week for the past 5 or so weeks. Sometimes I grumble as I head out the door and then I get a peak of the sun starting to rise and I can tell it's going to be a good one. So I pedal, pedal pedal to the bridge and I'm always rewarded. I'll take a minute to peel off a glove and snap a picture on my phone and then another minute to slow my pace and enjoy the sunrise over the water. Y'all this is what it's all about.
It's Friday and I'm ready for the weekend. And there are a lot of minutes before I walk away from my desk. Which means that I have a lot of chances to end this week on a high note- finish one more project. For all those minutes it takes to accomplish something, the second it takes to check it off my list is worth it!
