Waste not, want not.

This weekend I finally organized our bookshelf... by the color of the book's covers... ROY G BIV style... while watching Beauty and the Beast. It was a (read: this) book lover's perfect morning.

This was a project I've been thinking about doing for a while. I had mentioned it a few times to a few different people, and this is how the conversation would go:

Me: "Have you seen those Pinterest boards where people organize their bookshelves by color?"

Innocent Bystander: "Yeah, they look pretty neat..."

Me: "I'm going to do that one day!"

Innocent Bystander: "Cool. Let me know how it goes."

Was anyone inspired by that exchange? Have you every been inspired by anyone telling you they're going to do something, someday? Not me.

We waste so many days waiting for the weekend. So many nights wanting morning. Our lust for future comfort is the greatest thief in life.

My homegirl, Nicole, left a comment a few days ago about holding ourselves accountable and just making it happen. And she's right. The situation is never going to be perfect, and starting something will always be scary, but we are the ones who are responsible for turning "someday's" into today.

Inspire yourself into action and you'll stop stealing from your potential. Yes?
